Dalhousie’s Department of Facilities Management invites all staff, faculty and students (except those who live in residences*) to visit fixit.dal.ca to report minor maintenance issues like broken locks, leaks, custodial, HVAC problems, rodents, etc. This new website replaces FM’s previous work management system FAMIS, which is now disabled.
For urgent maintenance issues such as floods, power outages, or other emergencies, please continue to contact Work Control by phone at 902 494 3345 in Halifax, 902‑893‑4630 in Truro and Security between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. at 902 494 6400.
Note that the system cannot process generic emails. They must come from someone with a Dal BOO number.
The new system will provide better visibility into service requests, stronger integration with our other systems and more efficient ways of managing work across the university.ÌýÌý
* Students who live in residences should continue to report maintenance issues in their residence buildings through a Maintenance Request Form (MRF) - as always, this is available in the Residence Application Hub:.ÌýÌý
