From October 16-18, the Faculty of Dentistry took part in Dalhousie Homecoming 2014.
After hosting a table at the Dalhousie ºÚÁϳԹÏ Dinner on Thursday night, the Faculty hosted the 2014 JD McLean Lecture on Friday afternoon. More than 130 alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends heard from world-renowned neurosurgeon and former Halifax resident Dr. Ivar Mendez, who delivered a riveting talk on strategies to fight poverty.
On Saturday morning, a handful of our Faculty Family members joined Dean Boran at the Tiger Fun Run through the Dalhousie campus, while others attended the Atlantic Dental Education Weekend in the Dentistry Building. Later that evening, more than 140 guests gathered at the Dentistry ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Dinner at The Lord Nelson Hotel & Suites. Dalhousie Dentistry partnered with Henry Schein Canada to raise over $10,000 for the North End Community Health Centre Fund.
