- Congratulations to Jacqueline Gahagan (Health and Human Performance) on her election to the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) Board of Directors for a two-year term, commencing on January 1, 2015.
- Congratulations to Wanda Thomas Bernard (Social Work) who will be presented with the Order of Nova Scotia on December 3 at Province House. Dr. Thomas Bernard is being recognized for her many acheivements, including her promotion of social justice and her work in the African Nova Scotian Community.
- David Gardner (Pharmacy and Psychiatry) recently returned from Beijing, China where he was invited by the Peking University Institute of Mental Health to give the Seminar for Psychopharmacology and Diagnosis of Mental Disorders in Children. Dr. Gardner, along with Dr. Pang Peng of Stony Brook University Medical Centre in New York, gave nine presentations over the four days of the conference, which was attended by approximately 70 psychatrists from across China. Â
